MOUNTAIN PINE -- With a No. 2 seed and home playoff game on the line, Foreman (8-1, 6-1 7-2A) turned a close game into a blowout with a barrage of second-half touchdowns in a victory over Mountain Pine (7-3, 5-2).

Leading 20-14, the Gators pulled away from the Red Devils with a 29-7 run in the second half.

Kyren Batey opened the third quarter with an 11-yard touchdown run on Foreman's first possession of the half, and the rout was on. After recovering a Mountain Pine fumble, the Gators scored again on a 37-yard strike from Isaac Carver to CJ Green.

Green later rumbled for a 27-yard score as Foreman held a 41-14 advantage after three quarters.

Green's 44-yard touchdown with 9:42 remaining in the fourth made it 42-14 to enact the mercy rule and running clock.

The Red Devils set the final margin on a 12-yard touchdown pass from Collin Smith to Kason Porter with less than a minute to play.
