Little Rock police arrested a 37-year-old man accused of raping a child, according to a report.

Harold Dewayne Bell faces one count of rape and was taken into custody Monday afternoon at his residence, 9805 Tamela Drive in Little Rock, according to the report.

Bell is accused of assaulting a girl in May, when the victim was 5 years old, according to a report. The victim's mother said she had gone on a date and asked Bell to baby-sit her daughter.

The mother said she returned home around 10 p.m. and her daughter was already asleep, according to the report. The next day, on May 11, the mother asked her daughter if anybody touched her and the young girl responded with a yes, according to the report.

The mother told police she asked what happened and who was responsible. The report said her daughter described the assault.
