Duo win cast masters
Allen Shannon and Warren Edwards won the NWA Cast Masters bass tournament held May 23 at Beaver Lake with five bass that weighed 17.41 pounds.
David Louks and Colllin Cheatham were second with five bass at 16.6 pounds. Louks won big bass with a 5.75-pound largemouth. Rocky Hopkins and Travis Fox were third with five bass at 16.37 pounds.
Tournament benefits Young Life
A benefit bass tournament for NWA Young Life will be from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 10 at Beaver Lake out of Hickory Creek Marina.
Entry fee is $50 per boat. There is a $1,000 guaranteed first place prize, $500 for second, $300 for third and $250 for big bass.

Hikers explore two trails
Hill ‘N Dale Hiking Club will hold the last hike of the spring season on Thursday at Bench Rock Trail on Beaver Lake and Black Bass Lake trail in Eureka Springs. Combined distance is 3 to 4 miles of easy hiking.
