Declared Republican fed up with president

Is there no way to stop this blabbering idiot you conservatives have elected president of the United States? His disclosure of extremely sensitive information to the Russian foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, and the ambassador, Sergey Kislyak, was bad enough, but to confirm the intelligence came from Israeli intelligence was something the village idiot would have known better than to disclose. All doubt has been removed of the sanity of the clown and the only question left is just how long the puppies/puppets will continue defending the indefensible.

I lived through the Nixon debacle and stayed hooked until the last gasp, but promised I would never again continue supporting a lying president, even a Republican. I registered Republican in 1952 and have never changed my registration, voting straight Republican with very few exceptions through 2000. My Republican credentials would rank second to no other Republican in Arkansas today. I voted my very first straight Democratic ticket in 2006 and will continue that aberration until some degree of sanity returns to my party leadership. I have been proud of the moderation shown by Gov. Asa Hutchison in several instances, even though I did not vote for him.

It appears we are headed toward another impeachment, which I am not advocating when I look at the vice president, who leaves as much to be desired as the clown. Comparing the two, the vice president would not be as ignorant as the clown but he would be far more partisan and we do not need more divisiveness. My firm belief in the two-party system had never been questioned until this last primary.

I am also questioning now the need for the Electoral College, with more than 3 million votes for Hillary Clinton over the clown. I shall continue to be proud of my vote for Hillary as well as my votes for Barack. I am still looking for someone still honestly proud of voting for the clown. It appears the election of the clown drove the Greatest Clown Show on Earth out of business.

Public art maintains

‘eye of beholder’ maxim

In answer to Boyd McNiel’s May 23 public art question, “Is this the reaction the artist wanted to hear?”, in a word, yes.

To most artists, their creations are designed to provoke a reaction. Many do not really care if you are delighted or appalled; the point is that you had a strong reaction. So much, in fact, that McNiel even took the time to write a criticism to share with others. Had he simply shrugged his shoulders and walked away with no additional thought about what he had seen, the artist would most likely have been disappointed.

While McNiel may see a worthless pile of trash, others likely see a valued stack of treasure.
