A handgun, along with cash and a key to a vehicle, were reported stolen Monday from a car dealership in North Little Rock, according to a police report.

Police were called at 10:04 a.m. to Rock City Motors at 2911 E. Broadway, where they spoke with Brian Hunter, who said he arrived at the business to find that his desk had been opened and rummaged through, the report said.

Hunter told police that he walked around the business and found an east-facing door in the back open and damaged, according to the report.

Police said it appears that burglars forced open the back door and ransacked a desk near the front of the business. According to the report, the burglars took $150 in cash, a handgun and a key to a vehicle.

The two burglars also tried unsuccessfully to start one or two of the vehicles, according to the report.

One witness told officers that she saw two male youths in the back fenced lot about 9 p.m. Sunday, according to the report.

The witness said the youths walked away from the business when they saw her, according to the report.

The woman described one of the youths as very short and the other as tall, the report said.
