Shelley Simpson has been named chief commercial officer and president of a new Highway Services segment at J.B. Hunt Transportation Services, Inc.
The Highway Services segment is a merger of two segments -- Integrated Capacity Solutions and Truckload. Simpson previously was president of both segments.
In a release the Lowell company said the new title "was created to help unify the management of all asset and non-asset J.B. Hunt services."
She was previously chief marketing officer and will retain her position as executive vice president.
"I have great confidence in Shelley's ability to lead our efforts to provide innovative, technology-based solutions for customers," John Roberts, president and CEO, said.
Simpson has been at the company since 1994 and worked her way up to president of Integrated Capacity Solutions in 2007.
