Routine inspections on two west Arkansas bridges will require temporary lane closures, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said.
Crews will temporarily close a lane on the Interstate 540 Arkansas River bridge between Fort Smith and Van Buren. The northbound outside lane of the Interstate 540 Arkansas River bridge will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, on Monday, the department said.
On Tuesday, a routine inspection of the U.S. 64 Arkansas River bridge between Fort Smith and Oklahoma will require lanes to be alternately closed from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, beginning with the westbound lane.
