SUV driver, biker die in 2 traffic accidents

Two people died in accidents since Tuesday, Arkansas State Police said.

A woman was killed and three people, including a 5-year-old girl, were injured Wednesday in a head-on collision on a state highway in Conway County, police said.

Kimber Ross, 29, of Plumerville was driving a 2004 GMC sport utility vehicle north on Arkansas 95 around 11:30 a.m., according to an state police report, when it crossed the centerline and collided with a 2006 GMC truck.

Ross was killed and a 5-year-old girl who was a passenger in the SUV was injured, police said.

The truck's driver, 29-year-old Arthur Walls of Plumerville, and a passenger, Michael Settlemire, 52, of Morrilton, also were injured in the wreck.

The weather was rainy and roads were wet at the time of the collision.

A man was killed when his motorcycle veered off a state highway Tuesday night in Pulaski County, authorities said.

Timothy Pray of Mayflower was riding a 2011 Kawasaki north on Arkansas 365 near an intersection with Springer Road in Maumelle shortly before 10 p.m., state police said.

The vehicle veered off the road and into a ditch where it eventually stopped, police said. Pray, 53, suffered fatal injuries.

No one else was hurt in the wreck. Police said conditions were clear and dry at the time.
