Bella Vista man accused of indecent exposure

BENTONVILLE -- A Bella Vista man was arrested Thursday in connection with exposing himself to a women on the trail near the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.

Charles E. Michel, 56, was arrested in connection with three counts of indecent exposure. He was released with a court date and ordered to stay away from all Bentonville trails and parks, according to a Bentonville Police Department news release.

Police began an investigation on Feb. 7 after receiving a report of a man exposing himself to a woman on the trail near the museum, according to the news release. Another incident occurred Feb. 13 in the same area, according to the release.

Police responded to a third incident in the same area March 20, according to the release. Officers located and interviewed Michel in the area, and he matched the suspect's description, according to the release.

A photographic lineup was presented to the victims who positively identified Michel as the suspect, according to the release. Police obtained a warrant for Michel's arrest Thursday and he later turned himself into police.
