SPRINGDALE -- Caleb Grace delivered on the mound and at the plate to help Springdale Har-Ber complete a 7A-West Conference sweep.

The Har-Ber right-hander struck out eight in the win as the Wildcats (4-0, 2-0 7A-West) completed the series sweep heading into next week's spring break road trip to Florida.

"Caleb is always around the zone and he makes other teams beat him," Har-Ber coach Ron Bradley said. "That's the best thing about him. He did a great job of getting ahead of hitters today."

Har-Ber gave Grace all the run support he needed in the second inning with back-to-back-to-back doubles from Jacob Williams, Grace and Lincoln Rasmussen that put two runs on the scoreboard. The third run touched the dish on a fielder's choice and a 3-0 lead.

Grace allowed just three hits over the first five innings before Rogers (2-3, 0-2) was able to break through with a pair of runs in the sixth. Luke McFadden led off the top of the sixth with a walk and scored easily from first base when Grayson Lee crushed a ball to deep center field for an RBI triple. Lee scored on Andrew McGlynn's flair single into right, cutting Har-Ber's lead to 4-2.

Grace made quick work of the Mounties in the seventh by striking out the side to end the game just before darkness settled over the ballpark.

"He was good today. He threw strikes, didn't walk anybody and they made plays behind him," Rogers coach Matt Melson said of Grace. "The big inning got us there again, for the second day in-a-row. That crooked number kills you, but overall I thought it was a well-played game."

The Mounties will be off until next Friday when they compete in the Bartlesville (Okla.) Tournament. Har-Ber is scheduled to host Crossett at 5 p.m. today at Tyson Park before its spring break trip to Panama City, Fla.
