Body found in White River

FAYETTEVILLE -- Police are investigating the death of a man found in the White River on Sunday night, according to a news release.

Police have not yet identified the man. There are "no obvious signs of physical trauma," according to the release.

The body was found about 9:35 p.m. a half mile upstream from Harvey Dowell Road bridge.

The body will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to determine cause of death and identification.

The investigation is ongoing.
