My favorite space is: my son's room.
Why? My wife, Courtney, and I decided that Quentin's room should reflect that of a gentleman, and we are doing our best to raise him as one. The decor includes hand-painted canvases that Courtney made for each letter of his name on backgrounds that look like neckties. His grandparents on both sides helped decorate. My paternal grandfather's valet sits in the corner, which displays Quentin's hats and baseball caps. This is the space where Quentin took his first few steps. This is where we draw, color, learn, play with toys (including Hot Wheels cars that I played with as a child), have light-saber battles, and talk about our days. This is also the space where we instill values in him, such as always telling the truth and being nice to others. This is where the three of us end every day by reading bedtime stories and having nightly prayers by his bed. Sometimes we even have impromptu dance parties!
If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: Make it larger. Sometimes it gets a little cramped with the entire family in there, including our 60-pound standard poodle, Goldie.
