BEAVER LAKE

Black bass, crappie and walleye are biting.

James Whittle at Hook, Line and Sinker in Rogers said black bass are biting top-water lures early. Use square-bill crank baits, spinner baits or plastic worms later in the day.

Crappie are biting in the Prairie Creek area eight to 10 feet deep on minnows and jigs. For walleye, troll deep-diving jerk baits along points, flats and in creek arms.

Catfish are biting well on all baits and methods. Striped bass are biting brood minnows or shad near Point 5.

Mike Whitehouse at Hickory Creek Marina said crappie are biting. A good lure choice is a Bobby Garland Baby Shad in the electric chicken color. Try squarebill crank baits in shallow water for black bass.

BEAVER TAILWATER

Tom Steinke at Beaver Dam Store said trout are biting a Power Bait and waxworm combination. Fishing is best from a boat because of high water. There is limited space for bank fishing at Beaver Dam access, Bertrand and Houseman accesses.

There is no wadable water for wade fishing.

LAKE FAYETTEVILLE

Al Perea at the lake office said catfish are biting fair on goldfish or liver. Try plastic worms or minnows for black bass. Go with crickets or worms to catch bluegill.

Crappie are biting minnows or jigs around brush.

LAKE SEQUOYAH

Mike McBride at the lake bait shop said crappie can be caught 4 feet deep with minnows or jigs. They have moved away from the bank. Black bass are biting plastic worms or spinner baits.

Use liver, shad or nightcrawlers for catfish. Try worms or crickets for bluegill.

SWEPCO LAKE

Kenny Stroud in Siloam Springs said black bass are biting soft plastic lures two to 20 feet deep.

SILOAM SPRINGS LAKE

Stroud recommends using square-bill crank baits or plastic worms for black bass.

BELLA VISTA

Nick Gann at Hook, Line and Sinker in Bella Vista said black bass are biting jig and pigs at all Bella Vista lakes. Try top-water lures early. Bluegill are biting crickets or worms four to eight feet deep at all lakes.

EASTERN OKLAHOMA

Kenny Stroud in Siloam Springs said black bass at Lake Eucha and W.R. Holway Reservoir are biting grubs, tube baits and plastic worms. Try top-water lures early.

TABLE ROCK LAKE

The Missouri Department of Conservation reports good black bass fishing with plastic worms or spinner baits along points in shallow water. Catfish are biting well on cut bait. Crappie are fair on minnows or Beetle Spins around cover.
