Northwest Arkansas seniors win merit scholarships

Fifty-four members of Arkansas' high school Class of 2017 are among more than 3,200 students to be named winners of National Merit Scholarships financed by some 182 colleges and universities.

The awards provide between $500 and $2,000 a year for up to four years of study at the college or university financing the scholarship.
