FAYETTEVILLE -- An Elkins man was sentenced Wednesday to federal prison for child pornography.

George Hagadone, 52, was sentenced to four years and eight months followed by a lifetime of supervised release on one count of receipt of child pornography.

Beginning in June 2016, Department of Homeland Security Investigations identified a computer uploading videos depicting child pornography. During the course of the investigation the address associated with the computer was at Hagadone's home, according to court records.

The computer containing child pornography was seized Jan. 12 and Hagadone admitted to downloading and possessing the material.

Hagadone pleaded guilty in March.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Denis Dean prosecuted the case. U.S. District Judge Tim Brooks presided over the sentencing.
