Van Genderen was the chief financial officer of Pedross USA, a flooring business in Rogers. She was responsible for handling the business employment taxes by filing forms and paying all employment taxes owed, including trust fund taxes. Van Genderen intentionally failed to file the forms and pay the taxes for the tax quarter ending Dec. 31, 2012.

The investigation was conducted by IRS Criminal Investigation Division.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Kim Harris prosecuted the case. U.S. District Judge Tim Brooks presided over the sentencing hearing.
