DaySpring Cards nabs national award

DaySpring Cards recently won a LOUIE award from the Greeting Card Association in the "general birthday" category for cards $4 and less. The awards were presented May 21 in New York City during the New York Stationery Show.

The winning card, designed to appeal to millennials, features a man with a beard that says "Home Grown," in hand lettering with a flocked texture. The inside message is "Hope your year is distinctively blessed," matched with the Scripture "Abundantly beyond all we ask or think. Ephesians 3:20 NASB." It was designed and hand-lettered by senior designer Jessica Wei and written by senior editor Matt Anderson.

Anderson has worked at DaySpring for 23 years. Wei is a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Ga., and has worked at DaySpring for six years.
