The second annual "Seeds of Hope" garden party July 27 at the Barn at the Springs in Springdale will benefit Healing Gardens of Northwest Arkansas.
Rachel Cox, executive director, said the nonprofit organization's mission is to "be a green space for all by enriching the quality of lives in Northwest Arkansas." She said there are four pillars to achieving that mission: health and wellness -- with the organization serving as a resource for mind, body and soul; education -- the garden will promote learning about self, nature or both and be used as an outdoor classroom; arts integration -- the project is planned with artistic and therapeutic design in mind; and community building -- the community as a whole will be welcome to the garden.

Olive also is a professor of psychology and practical theology. Co-chairmen of the event are Vicki Petree and sons Josh and Lance, in memory of Rick Petree.
