Columnist got it right: Trump annoying, but achieving

I took the privilege of reading the Mark Davis column (July 7). What a delight to read something so well done and so correct. He said exactly what my husband and I say everyday about Trump. Of course, Trump irritates most of us on a daily basis with his constant tweeting. And yes, he acts like a spoiled brat from time to time. But you don't change a 70-year-old just because he annoys you. What we should all be doing is praising our president for all the positive things he has done, tried to do and will continue to do. He has accomplished so much in such a short time, while having to defend himself against the mainstream media and the liberals who can't accept his election victory.

He has been called every name in the book, has had some even tell us he is crazy and unfit, yet he continues to do what he thinks is best. It is time we all realize he loves our country and is doing what he does mostly out of love for American people. Is he perfect? Holy cow, no! But neither are his critics nor any of us. He has shown more times than not how much he cares for his children and how resilient he is.

It is time for all of us to listen to what Mark Davis has to say about our president and stop this constant attacking. He may go down in history as one of our greatest presidents. What will the other side have to say then? Certainly Hillary Clinton would never have come close to having that honor.

By the way, when I refer to mainstream media critics, I do not include the Democrat-Gazette, though some days it seems that way. You're still among the few of America's fairest newspapers.
