The Decatur woman who went missing July 6 was found alive and well last night.
The Benton County Sheriff's Office issued a statement saying Margaret Herod, 82, had minor injuries, was coherent and only asked for a Mountain Dew after she was found.
At almost midnight last night, Herod was being transported to a hospital for further evaluation. The location of where she was found or the hospital she was transported to were not released.
The Benton County Sheriff's Office accredited their success to several other local agencies who assisted in the search, including Tri-County Search and Rescue, Benton County Search and Rescue, Franklin County Emergency Management, Siloam Springs Police Department, Bentonville Police Department and others.
