Reconstruction of a section of Interstate 440 north of the Arkansas River will require a lane closure beginning early Monday, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said.
Beginning at 12:01 a.m. Monday, the westbound lane will be closed from the river to the Interstate 40 interchange to allow the contractor to work on temporary widening and a temporary ramp installation. An erosion-control system will also be installed.
The lane will be closed until the work is finished, the department said. Traffic will be controlled using warning signs and traffic drums.
