Pulaski County district sets new-student registration

The Pulaski County Special School District is hosting a one-week registration period, Monday through Feb. 5, for students who will be new to the district in the 2017-18 school year.

Registration for elementary pupils will be at the child's attendance-zone school during regular school hours.

Registration for middle and high school students will be conducted at hubs throughout the district:

• Fuller Middle School and Mills High School students are to register at Mills High, 1205 E. Dixon Road.

• Joe T. Robinson High School and Joe T. Robinson Middle School students are to register at Robinson High, 21501 Arkansas 10.

• Maumelle Middle School students are to register at Maumelle Middle School, 1000 Carnahan Drive.

• Maumelle High School students are to register at Maumelle High, 100 Victory Lane.

• Sylvan Hills Middle School students are to register Sylvan Hills Middle School, 10001 Johnson Street in Sherwood.

• Sylvan Hills High School freshman are to register at the Sylvan Hills Freshman Campus, 10020 Bamboo Lane, North Little Rock.

• Sylvan Hills High School students who will be in grades 10-12 are to register at Sylvan Hills Middle School, 10001 Johnson Street in Sherwood.

To register students, parents or guardians must provide identification such as birth certificates or registrar statements, baptismal certificates, passports, affidavits or military identification, along with immunization records and Social Security cards.

The parents also must provide proof of residence, which can be a current gas, water or electric bill; home purchase or closing papers on a house or a lease agreement.

Registrars will be available to assist parents and guardians in the completion of registration forms.

Registration for pre-kindergarten enrollment requires additional documentation. Information on pre-kindergarten enrollment is available by calling Homer Adkins Pre-kindergarten School, (501) 982-3117.

An online search feature to determine a student's attendance zone school, along with other registration-related forms, is available on the Pulaski County Special School District's website: pcssd.org. Information also is available through the Pulaski County Special district's Equity and Pupil Services Division, (501) 234-2020 or (501) 234-2021.
