USDA’s scholarship available at UAPB
University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff students interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, food, natural resource sciences or related fields have until Jan. 31 to apply for a federal scholarship.
The 2017 U.S. Department of Agriculture 1890 National Scholars Program offers full tuition, fees, books, and room and board each year for up to four years, according to a news release. The program is available only to students attending one of the 19 historically black land-grant universities.
Interested students can apply at UAPB by submitting a scholar’s program packet to George Richardson, the program liaison at the university. Application packets can be found at http://www.outreach.usda.gov/education/1890/index.htm. .

Campus blood drive set at UAFS center
The University of Arkansas at Fort Smith is holding a blood drive Tuesday and Wednesday.
The blood drive, hosted by the university’s Student Activities Office, will take place in the Reynolds Room of the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center. Donors receive free T-shirts and free health screenings.
