CLARKSVILLE 50, GREENWOOD 47

Clarksville built a 41-29 lead through three quarters, then held off a Greenwood comeback attempt to take a 5A/6A District 1 game Saturday in Clarksville.

Grace Dougan led the Lady Panthers (13-6) with 24 points, followed by Sam Childers with 15. Kilia Julian had 16 to pace Greenwood.

MAUMELLE 61, LR PARKVIEW 60

The winner was the last team with the ball.

Senior guard Tremont Robinson’s layup at the buzzer handed the Maumelle Hornets a onepoint victory over the Little Rock Parkview Patriots at Hornet Gymnasium in Maumelle on Friday night.

With 10 seconds left, senior forward Javon Franklin took an inbound pass from the wing, spun through the lane and made a reverse layup to give Parkview a 60-59 lead with 5.1 seconds left.

Robinson’s winning basket gave him 27 points for the game.

Senior guard Khalil Garland led Parkview (15-4, 5-1) with 15 points. Sophomore guard Allen Flanigan scored 14 and Franklin had 13. As a team, Parkview missed 18 of 33 free-throw attempts.

LR CENTRAL 54, CONWAY 49

Raekwon Rogers came alive in the second half to help Little Rock Central rally past Conway in a 7A-Central game at the Tiger Fieldhouse Friday night.

Rogers, a 6-7 senior forward, scored 13 of his 15 points in the final two quarters as Central overcame a 46-41 deficit in the game’s final 3:50. Rogers also finished with nine rebounds and three blocks.

Senior guard Cameron Johnson led Central with 17 points, including seven points in the final 2:15. Johnson hit a three-pointer with 2:15 left that tied the game at 46-46. Rogers followed with a two-pointer 20 seconds later and the Tigers (12-6, 2-2) never trailed again.

Carson Petrucelli scored 15 points, while Gentrall Taylor and Kendarious Smith each had nine points for Conway, which led 40-38 heading into the final quarter.

BRYANT 50, CABOT 40

Bryant (14-3, 3-1 7A-Central), which trailed 30-26 entering the fourth quarter, outscored Cabot (13-2, 3-1) 24-10 in the final eight minutes.

The Hornets were solid at the free-throw line, making 22 of 28 overall to the Panthers’ 3 of 7.

Senior guard Romen Martin led the Hornets with 17 points. Senior forward Lowell Washington had 12 points and classmate Braylon Steen added nine points.

Cabot senior guard Jarrod Barnes, who led the Panthers with 11 points, hit a 3-pointer to give the Panthers a 33-26 lead with 7:33 left in the fourth quarter.

LR MILLS 67, PINE BLUFF 43

After a week of defensive emphasis, the Mills Comets put their work into action in the second quarter Friday night at The Galaxy.

After Pine Bluff had trimmed the Comets’ lead to 11-9 late in the first quarter, Mills held the Zebras scoreless for more than three minutes and to just one field goal during a six-minute-plus stretch. The result was a victory for Mills in a matchup of 6A/5A-5 unbeatens.

The Zebras (11-6, 3-1 6A/5A-5) were 3 of 12 in the first quarter, all three-pointers, and 3 of 15 in the second quarter as the Comets (18-1, 5-0) built a 31-17 halftime cushion. In the second quarter, when Mills held a 13-7 scoring edge, the Comets also forced seven turnovers.

Darious Hall led the Comets with 16 points, while Grehlon Easter pitched in 13 and Quann Marshall scored 10.

BAUXITE 55, ARKADELPHIA 47

Graham Chenault scored a game-high 28 points to lead host Bauxite to a nonconference victory over Arkadelphia. Colton Robinson added 10 points for Bauxite, which led 30-23 at halftime.

GOSNELL 64, RIVERSIDE 61

Tramaine Anderson’s 28 points led visiting Gosnell to a 4A/3A-4 victory over Riverside. Brandon Partee added 12 points and 13 rebounds for Gosnell (13-6, 8-2), while Trajan Donnerson added 10 points. Braden Overman led Riverside (15-9, 6-4) with 15 points.

GREENBRIER 44,

MOUNTAIN HOME 40

Carter Burcham scored 19 points to lead host Greenbrier to a 6A/5A-2 victory over Mountain Home. Payden Webb added 18 points for Greenbrier.

IZARD COUNTY 67, SALEM 31

Tanner Brooks scored 24 points as Izard County (23-8, 12-0) earned a 2A/1A-3 victory over Salem. Justus Cooper and Taylor Reynolds added 18 points each for Izard County, which led 29-18 at halftime.

PANGBURN 69, CONCORD 46

Trae Holder scored a gamehigh 18 points as host Pangburn had five players score 10 or more points in a victory over Concord. Braxton Greene scored 11 points for Pangburn, which led 31-20 at halftime, while Nick Lukas, Mitchell Flint and Jake Tharp added 10 each. Riley Cornett scored 16 points to lead Concord, while Ryan Brock chipped in 12.

SEARCY 80, BATESVILLE 53

Host Searcy took a commanding 22-8 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back in a 6A/5A-2 game. Michael Money led Searcy with 33 points.

STUTTGART 64, DOLLARWAY 38

Tim Johnson and Davino Graham scored 16 points each to lead host Stuttgart to a 4A/3A-10 victory over Pine Bluff Dollarway.

WEST MEMPHIS 54,

PARAGOULD 48

Kelsey Hubbard came off the bench to score a game-high 19 points as West Memphis (16-2, 9-1) earned a 6A/5A-3 victory in Paragould. Hubbard entered the game with the Blue Devils trailing 20-11 in the second quarter, then scored six points in the span of 52 seconds to cut the lead to 20-17. His 30-foot three-pointer at the buzzer cut Paragould’s lead to 34-32 at halftime. Chris Moore added 10 points and nine rebounds for West Memphis.

GIRLS

LR CENTRAL 82, CONWAY 75

Bre’Amber Scott’s early 3-pointers and Jordan Greenwood’s late scoring propelled No. 2 Little Rock Central over No. 4 Conwa in a 7A-Central Conference game Friday night.

The two Lady Tigers combined for 56 points as Central (15-1, 4-0) won its eighth consecutive game.

Central overcame a 54-46 third-quarter deficit after Conway (15-5 2-2) had scored 11 consecutive points.

Visiting Batesville outscored Searcy 21-11 in the third quarter to turn a seven-point halftime lead into a comfortable 6A/5A-2 victory in Searcy. Taylor Griffin led Batesville with 21 points. Allie Brown scored 16 points to lead Searcy.

BALD KNOB 66,

HARDING ACADEMY 51

Madi Pierce scored a game-high 21 points as Bald Knob outscored Harding Academy 24-12 in the third quarter of a 4A/3A-7 game in Searcy. Kinlee Varnell had 15 points for Bald Knob and Anna Woolford added 13. Elaine Helpenfill scored 16 points to lead Harding Academy.

CLARKSVILLE 32, VILONIA 29

Clarksville stepped out of district play to play 5A-West Conference foe Vilonia and came away with a close victory in Vilonia.

Lindsey Hover had 10 points and Sam Childers eight for Clarksville, which trailed 11-10 at halftime but took a 24-20 lead into the fourth quarter.

CLINTON 37, DARDANELLE 30

Sophomore Alexus Smith scored 11 points as the Lady Yellowjackets (15-6) recorded their fifth consecutive game with a victory over the Lady Lizards. Daley Dufrene added eight and Allie Hensley seven for Clinton, which led 19-15 at the half. Linsey Earnest scored 12 for Dardanelle.

IZARD COUNTY 63, SALEM 37

Kennedy Cooper’s 23 points led Izard County (21-4, 10-2), which had four players score 10 or more points, to a 2A/1A-3 victory over Salem. Natalie Everett scored 12 points, Sam King added 11 and Jen King chipped in 10 for Izard County.

Kisi Young scored 25 points as visiting Magnolia earned a 6A/5A-6 victory over Camden Fairview. Lillie Moore added 10 points for Magnolia, which led 29-20 at halftime.

MOUNTAIN HOME 40,

GREENBRIER 21

Hannah Pfeifer scored 13 points to lead Mountain Home to a 6A/5A-2 victory in Greenbrier. Vinessa Daniel also had 11 points for Mountain Home. Breleigh Simmons led Greenbrier with nine points.

MOUNTAIN VIEW 46,

TUCKERMAN 26

Kaley Shipman put in 18 points as the Lady Yellowjackets topped the Lady Bulldogs. Keleanna Johnson added 12 for Mountain View.

PANGBURN 52, CONCORD 42

Host Pangburn outscored Concord 15-5 in the fourth quarter to break a 37-37 tie and come away with a victory. Tylar Vernon and Hannah Bourgeois scored 15 points apiece to lead Pangburn, while Macy Morgan and Kaleah Davis scored 10 points each to lead Concord.

STAR CITY 46, MARIANNA 30

Anna Wynne’s game-high 16 points led host Star City to a 4A/3A-10 victory over Marianna. Larena Walker added 15 points for Star City, which led 22-12 at halftime and outscored Marianna 15-6 in the third quarter. Tionna Martin scored 14 points to lead Marianna.
