Length: Walk every paved trail, spur, side trail and the three sections across Rock Creek for 3.7 miles.

Main attractions: A shaded refuge between busy streets and neighborhoods, the park offers quiet creekside trails and the city's premier skate park.

Hazards: Don't try to walk across the Rock Creek low-water bridge after a heavy rain. The usual 2-inch depth can turn treacherous.

Dog, bike, tyke friendly? Good for all three.
