Local Veterans Art Show -- The Veterans Administration will host Local Veterans Art Show with artwork by veterans. It is estimated that more than 80 pieces of art from 153 categories will be exhibited from noon to 3 p.m. March 3 at the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks, 1100 N. Richard Misrach’s “Border Patrol Drag Grid, Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico,” 2009-2015 (Arrastres de llantas utilizados a lo largo de la frontera desde el océano Pacífico hasta el golfo de México), a pigment print 86 inches by 19 feet, 1/2 inch, is on show through April 24 at Crystal Bridges Museum as part of the “Border Cantos: Sight & Sound Explorations from the Mexican-American Border” exhibit.

“Heartbreak in Peanuts,” a traveling exhibition from the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, Calif., is on show through April 16 at the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum.

Artist's Reception -- Ozark Natural Foods Co-op will hold a reception for artist of the month Joe Alexander beginning at 4 p.m. March 3 at the store, 1554 N. College Ave. in Fayetteville. Alexander has lived in Fayetteville since 1980 and plans to show oil paintings of old cars in the Ozarks landscape, done in brightly colored, impressionistic style. Timberline to Shoreline -- The Center for Art and Education will hold an opening reception from 1 to 4 p.m. for artists Steve and Vivian Griffith at the Main Gallery of the studio at 104 N. 13th St. in Van Buren. With impressionistic flair, this husband and wife team interprets their adventures across the United States through their art. On the Brink, On the Brim, On the Cusp -- The Arts Center of the Ozarks hosts an art exhibition -- featuring local artists and curated by Donna Smith -- which explores the borders and boundaries pursued through various mediums. The works investigate how we manage our own relationships with other people, our identities, technology and the environment in which we live, while at once pushing the boundary lines within which we are comfortable. George Dombek: Barns and Portraits -- The exhibition explores the creative work of Dombek, found in the new book "Barns and Portrait Paintings." The book features Dombek's paintings of barns from across Arkansas, as well as his portrait paintings of found objects, such as rusting metal pipes, tin cans, tractor parts and farm implements. Dombek's art is on display through March 17 in the Fred and Mary Smith Exhibition Gallery in Vol Walker Hall on the University of Arkansas campus. Encore -- Nationally renowned artist Kay Healy will display her artwork at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith through March 29. The exhibit, titled "Encore," will feature more than 25 pieces of art, including five room-sized screen printed and sewn fabric installations from her series "Lost and Found," which were based on stories from people who described objects they had lost and wished they still had. Fabric of Nature -- Walton Arts Center is hosting this visual arts exhibition by Andrea Packard, noted artist and consulting curator for the Joy Pratt Markham Gallery since 2010. This exhibition will be on display from noon to 2 p.m. daily through April 24. Packard's mixed media works take inspiration from wooded landscapes, family relationships and varied artistic traditions ranging from Cezanne and Matisse to contemporary artists such as the Gee's Bend quilters. 571-2715, waltonartscenter.org.

Spring Art Show -- The White Lotus Spring Art Show will feature works by F. Lee Green during the month. The show also offers works by Charlotte Ray, Marlene Samuel, Karl Killian and Red Star, including paintings, photography, mixed media, jewelry and pottery.
