Springdale man dies in wreck

SPRINGDALE -- The Springdale Police Department reported three traffic accidents resulted in one fatality and minor injuries Wednesday.

Officers received a call of an accident on North 48th Street around 7 p.m. Fire and police found a man dead in the car. Police identified him as Jacob Price, 26, of Springdale. The accident is still under investigation, according to a press release.

Also around 7 p.m., officers went to an accident in front of the Pilot on West Sunset Avenue and 56th Street. A car heading west crashed into the driver's side of a semitrailer. Both drivers were taken to Washington Regional Medical Center for minor injuries, police said.

During the cleanup of the accident, a Toyota Prius ran into the back of a police Explorer, pushing it into the back of a police Crown Victoria. Both vehicles had their emergency lights on, the release said. The driver of the Prius, Rimiji Clanry, 39, of Springdale was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated, police said.
