$14,450 in items stolen from home

A Little Rock man returned home from work Tuesday to find more than $14,000 in jewelry and clothing missing from his apartment, authorities said.

Police arrived at an apartment complex at 13500 Chenal Parkway and spoke with the 34-year-old man who said he arrived home around 4 p.m. and found his residence in disarray, according to a police report.

The man's couch had been moved, the balcony door was unlocked, and a screen was taken off a window leading into the kitchen, the report said.

Among the $14,450 worth of missing items were a suit, dress shoes, several pieces of gold jewelry and a mini iPad, the man told police.

Police searched the home. No suspect was identified in the report.

LR woman robbed between buildings

A woman robbed at gunpoint outside her Little Rock apartment was told by the gunman to wait a few minutes before calling authorities, she told police.

The 25-year-old said someone approached her between two buildings of the Berkley Apartments at 1601 N. Shackleford Road around 6:50 a.m. Tuesday.

The robber brandished a black-and-silver handgun and demanded her purse, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

The woman said the robber also put his hands inside her jacket pocket to search for more items.

Before fleeing south, the thief told the woman, "Do not call the police for at least five minutes."

Police described the robber as a black man, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He wore a black coat and black pants at the time.

Listed as stolen in the police report were a $300 Michael Kors purse, $10 in cash, as well as credit, banking and identification cards.

The police report listed no suspects or arrests in the case.
