Robbery reported at CVS Pharmacy

A Little Rock CVS Pharmacy was robbed at gunpoint early Thursday, police said.

A 21-year-old employee told officers that the robber entered the store at 1122 S. University Ave. about 3:30 a.m. wearing a black hoodie, according to a Little Rock police report. The cashier said he asked the man to remove his hoodie, and he did.

The man purchased an item and left, then returned a short time later and asked for a refund, the report said. The employee told the man that he could not give him money back.

The man then bought another item and waited for the cashier to open the cash register. Then the robber took out a black handgun and demanded money, the report said.

The employee said he gave about $150 to the robber, who fled. The robber was described as a black man who stands 6 feet tall, weighs 165 pounds and has short, black hair.

Robbers make off with vehicle, cash

Two robbers stole a vehicle from a worker at a North Little Rock fast-food restaurant as she and other employees were getting ready to close the eatery, police said.

Officers were called around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday to the Sonic Drive-In at 2124 Arkansas 161 in reference to a reported aggravated robbery, according to a North Little Rock police report.

One robber pulled a pistol and pointed it around the restaurant, repeatedly yelling "give me the money" and "empty your pockets," the report stated.

The gunman then shot once and fled out the back of the business with an accomplice, authorities said.

Listed as stolen from one employee was a silver 2012 Nissan Versa. A purse containing $100 in cash, a driver's license and a Social Security card was taken from another worker, the report noted.

Police later found the vehicle on Interstate 530 at Dixon Road in Little Rock.

The robbers were described as men who wore black clothing with white mesh material covering their faces and hands. One Sonic employee said the pistol-wielding robber appeared to be a former employee.
