New director named for Arkansas Game and Fish Commission

LITTLE ROCK — An Arkansas man who's worked nearly three decades at the state's Game and Fish Commission has been named the new director of the agency.

The commission announced Thursday that Pat Fitts will serve as its new director, effective Jan. 1. He'll replace Jeff Crow, who announced his resignation in October.

Fitts previously worked as the agency's assistant deputy director and before that, he was colonel of the agency's enforcement division.

Fitts has worked with Game and Fish for 29 years and began his career as a fisheries technician at the Joe Hogan State Fish Hatchery in Lonoke.
