Female R&B group Xscape, on its "Great Xscape Tour" with special guests Monica and Tamar Braxton, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Verizon Arena in North Little Rock. Tickets are $58 to $88, plus service charges.
Xscape formed in Atlanta in 1992 as a five-piece, but soon became a quartet: Kandi Burruss, Tamara "Tiny" Cottle, Tamika Scott and LaTocha Scott. The group released its debut album, Hummin' Comin' at 'Cha, in 1993, which contained the hit singles, "Just Kickin' It" and "Understanding."
Off the Hook came out in 1995, with singles "Feels So Good" and "Who Can I Run To," and the final Xscape album, Traces of My Lipstick, in 1998, featured the hit song "The Arms of the One Who Loves You." The four women went on to other projects, but re-formed earlier this year, releasing the singles "Wired Up" and "Dream Killa" on Dec. 1.
Burruss has achieved success as a songwriter and as a cast member of Real Housewives of Atlanta. Cottle is also known for her on and off marriage to rapper T.I.
