Bite Squad just added 15 restaurants to its restaurant base in Bentonville in an effort to better serve its Northwest Arkansas customers, company officials said.

"We want to bring your favorite food from your favorite restaurants right to your door," said Craig Key, vice president of marketing of the food-delivery company.

Those 15 restaurants bump potential service to 40 restaurants.

"The company expects continued growth throughout the year, alongside an ongoing effort to bring new restaurants onto their delivery platform in the area," according to a press release.

Bite Squad is a Minnesota-based, food-delivery service that began operating in Northwest Arkansas this past May after the company merged with Chef Shuttle, Key said. The company launched in 2012 when founders Kian Salehi and Arash Allaei "saw a need in their hometown community of Minneapolis for an easy, fast and affordable way to order delivery," according to Bite Squad's press kit.

Bite Squad offers delivery options via applications on both Android and Apple phones, as well as a website, www.bitesquad.com.

All current restaurant options are available on either the applications or website.
