One dead, one in critical condition after car crash on Washington County line

UPDATE Sunday 2:22 p.m.

The person who died in a car crash on Highway 16 at the Washington-Madison County line Saturday was a minor, Arkansas State Police said.

No further information has been released on the other individual involved in the crash.

According to a fatal crash report, the minor drove a Chevrolet Silverado off the road and over corrected while trying to get back onto the road. She lost control of the truck, drove into the ditch and rolled multiple times.

It was not noted which direction she was traveling. The road was clear and dry at the time of the crash.

Saturday

One person is dead and another in critical condition following a rollover car crash on the Washington-Madison County line, according to Central EMS.

Central EMS was dispatched around 9:30 a.m. Saturday to Arkansas 16 on the county line where they found one person had been ejected from the vehicle. One person was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken by helicopter to a hospital, CEMS Chief Becky Stewart said.

Details concerning the identities of those involved in the crash and any further information was not released.
