Molly Rebecca Leopard and Alvin Dewayne Barens exchanged marriage vows at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, in 21c Museum Hotel, Bentonville. Officiating was the Rev. Brent Higdem of First United Methodist Church, North Little Rock.

Nancy and Edward Leopard of North Little Rock are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the late Opal and Carl Williams of Jacksonville and the late Betty and Lee Leopard of North Little Rock.

The groom is the son of Karen and Gary Shappell of Western Grove and Alvin Barens of Lincoln. He is the grandson of Charles Junior Hill of Harrison, the late Martha and Argus "Shorty" Barens of Tontitown and the late Lorine Garrett of Fayetteville.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a twilight Mikado silk ballgown. The bodice had a plunging sweetheart neckline with a sleeveless overlay of beaded illusion with a boat neckline. The silk skirt extended from a coordinating belt into a sweep train. She carried a bouquet of silver dollar eucalyptus, ivory roses and ranunculus.

The bride's honor attendants were Betsy Montgomery of Little Rock, sister of the bride, and Ashley Brungardt of Fayetteville. Bridesmaids were Olivia Jones of North Little Rock, Kristen McDonald of Cave Springs, Eve Wiseman of St. Louis, Jessica Gwartney of Tulsa and Ali Sampson of Fort Smith. They wore navy blue gowns in the style of their choice and carried smaller versions of the bride's bouquet.

Best man was Ryan Moshtagh of St. Louis. Groomsmen were Joe Smiley of Bentonville; Brian Clark and Josh Wright, both of Fayetteville; Jacob Williams of Austin, Texas; Aaron Fiser of Wesley; and Layne Sisco of Rogers. Guests were seated by Nathan Cossey of Rogers.

A reception, also at the hotel, was held after the ceremony. The site was decorated with a wall of Italian ruscus and eucalyptus and the wedding cake was displayed on a suspended platform. Guest tables were decorated with garlands of eucalyptus with green accents.

The bride has a bachelor's and a master's degree in communication disorders from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha. She is a speech-language pathologist at Mercy Hospital in Rogers.

The bridegroom is also a UA graduate and was a member of Phi Delta Theta. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in human resource and supply chain management and is a customer strategy and planning manager for Conagra Brands.

The couple will live in Rogers after a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
