Christ the King Catholic Church was the setting at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, for the marriage of Mallory Brooke Barnes and Justin James Lareau. The Rev. Eric Pohlmeler officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Jennifer and Gregory Barnes of Memphis. She is the granddaughter of Betty Harrison and the late James Harrison, both of Fairfield Glade, Tenn., and the late Barbara Talbert and the late Finis Barnes, both of Millington, Tenn.

Parents of the groom are Rebecca Ann and her husband, the late Lawrence Joseph Ward, and Kerry Fischer Lareau and James Lareau, all of Little Rock. His grandparents are Ann Walton Garrison of Little Rock, the late John Fred Walton and the late James Rudolph Stephens and the late Mary Louis and Donald Eugene Lareau of Springdale.

An arrangement of ivory delphinium, genestra and cedar was at the base of the altar. Music was by organist Rees Roberts, soloist Suzanne Loerch and the Arkansas Symphony String Quartet.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white lace and illusion gown with cap sleeves and chapel train. She carried a bouquet of roses, hydrangea, stock, white hypericum and lisianthus with cedar.

Megan Barnes Young of Charleston, S.C., was her sister's matron of honor. Serving as attendants were Polly Gleneck of Nashville, Tenn.; Sarah Gano, Sally Dingledien and John "Buck" Morris V, all of Memphis; and Emily Majors of Little Rock. The women wore black gowns and carried bouquets similar to the bride's. Morris wore a black tuxedo.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Vera Lillian Canaday of Lexena, Kan., and Jackson Tuck Young of Charleston, nephew of the bride.

Best man was Jonathan Stephens Lareau of Houston, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Andrew Baldwin, Andrew McCarty and Chris Ellison, all of Little Rock; Will Skelton of Fayetteville; and Austin Matthews of North Little Rock. Guests were seated by Micheal Ferguson of DeWitt and Louis Hess of Little Rock.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Country Club of Little Rock. Tables held arrangements of flocked evergreen and ivory white and rose gold flowers including ranunculus, hydrangeas, roses, white Dutch stock and lisianthus. Music was by Dance Street Band from Memphis.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Memphis where she was a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. She is a nanny.

The groom is a graduate of the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma. He has a bachelor's degree in accounting and is an accounting manager at Vestcom.

The couple will make their home in Memphis after a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico.
