FAYETTEVILLE — People can adopt a furry addition to the family at a reduced cost, complete with a picture with Santa, today at the animal shelter.
Animal services will host its annual holiday open house with $10 adoption fees from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. The shelter is at 1640 S. Armstrong Ave.
Santa Claus will take photos with children and pets until noon. Photos will be free and available through email after the event.
Justine Lentz, animal services superintendent, said she hopes the reduced adoption fees will encourage people thinking about getting a pet to do so now while there’s time for training and bonding before the holidays, according to a news release.
