Pagans on Bobsleds

Red Octopus Theater stages its annual Christmas sketch show, Pagans on Bobsleds XXVI: Manger Things!, 8 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday at the Public Theatre, 616 Center St., Little Rock. The show is recommended for mature audiences. Doors will open at 7:15. Tickets are $10, $8 for senior citizens, military and students. Rock 'bottoms'

Diane Gleason, author of Dardanelle and the Bottoms: Environment, Agriculture, and Economy in an Arkansas River Community, 1819-1970, will discuss her book and use photographs and maps to illustrate life in the town of Dardanelle and the adjacent rural area known as the Dardanelle Bottoms for the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies' monthly Legacies & Lunch session, noon Wednesday in the Darragh Center, Central Arkansas Library System Main Library, 100 Rock St., Little Rock.
