Work on Interstate 49 in Bentonville will require lane closings on I-49, U.S. 62/Arkansas 102 and Arkansas 72 beginning Monday and lasting for about a month, the Arkansas Department of Transportation said.
Entrance and exit ramps at U.S. 62/Arkansas 102 and Arkansas 72 also may be affected during the lane closings, which are expected to last until Sept. 28, weather permitting.
Crews putting down asphalt on I-49 will require the inside and outside lanes in both directions between Southeast Boulevard and Arkansas 72, also called Central Avenue, to be alternately closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily.
The inside and outside lanes of eastbound and westbound U.S. 62/Arkansas 102 between Moberly Lane and Southeast Eagle Way will be alternately closed during the same hours to accommodate work on a bridge, construction of an island and the installation of curbs and gutters.
The eastbound and westbound lanes of Arkansas 72 between McCollum and Beau Terre drives will be alternately closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. to accommodate asphalt paving and the installation of curbs and gutters.
Traffic will be controlled with traffic barrels and flaggers, the department said.
