FRISCO, Texas — Scott Heineman hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning, and Pedro Payano threw 5 2/3 scoreless innings as the Frisco RoughRiders topped the Northwest Arkansas Naturals 5-1 on Saturday.
The home run by Heine-man scored Isiah Kiner-Falefa to give the RoughRiders a 2-0 lead.
The RoughRiders later tacked on three runs in the seventh when Heineman and Jose Trevino scored on an error and Kiner-Falefa drew a bases-loaded walk to secure the victory.
Payano (3-4) picked up the win after he struck out four and walked three while allowing two hits.
Emilio Ogando (8-9) went six innings, allowing two runs and three hits in the Texas League game. He also struck out six and walked two. Reed Garrett pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings for his ninth save of the season.
