Chapman elected
to accrediting board
Dennis Chapman president and head of school at The New School has been elected to the board of directors of the Arkansas Nonpublic School Accrediting Association. The ANSAA board includes school administrators and other educational leaders affiliated with religious and independent elementary and secondary schools in Arkansas. ANSAA comprises 101 total member schools in the state, of which 45 are accredited elementary schools, 28 accredited secondary schools and 28 associate member schools.

for congressman
Kayley Corley, a May graduate of University of Arkansas at Fort Smith, served a fellowship this summer, working for Rep. Steve Womack in Washington, D.C. She worked as the 2017 John Paul Hammerschmidt Fellow.
The fellowship marked the second opportunity for Corley to work with an Arkansas congressman. Previously, Corley served as an intern for Sen. John Boozman. She plans to pursue a master's degree in public service and administration from the Bush School of Public Service at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
Author finalist
Oregon contest
Hannah Hall of Prairie Grove, author of the novel, Would a Worm Go on a Walk?, is a finalist in the published children's book category of the Cascade Awards the annual writing contest of Oregon Christian Writers. The winners will be announced tonight at OCW's annual summer conference in Portland, Ore.
