Little Rock School District improvement projects

The Little Rock School District’s planned capital improvement projects would cost an estimated $90 million. Here are the projects, with estimated costs:

New high school in southwest Little Rock: $55 million.

Restroom renovations: $2.8 million.

Adult Education, Horace Mann, Romine, Washington, Watson, Western Hills, Quigley Stadium (Central High) and Metropolitan Vocational Technical Center building.

Roof replacements: $6,895,000.

Baseline, Forest Heights, Henderson, Jefferson, McDermott, Metropolitan Vocational Technical Center building, Pulaski Heights Elementary, Pulaski Heights Middle, Romine, Terry, Watson and maintenance building.

Major fire alarm replacements with addressable systems: $560,000.

Baseline, Hall, Henderson, Meadowcliff, Rockefeller and the Instructional Resource Center.

Parking lot repairs: $1,435,000.

Various schools, administration building, maintenance building and First Student school bus transportation lot.

Mechanical system replacements: $455,000.

Vocational Technical Center building, Pulaski Heights Middle, Terry Elementary and the Instructional Resource Center.

Mechanical system additions, air conditioning gyms: $1,750,000.

Central, Dunbar, Forest Heights, Hall, J.A. Fair, Mann, McClellan, Parkview and Pulaski Heights. With Pulaski Heights, the district did not specify whether it was the elementary, middle or both.

Add air conditioning to kitchens to include vent-ahood with makeup air system: $1,120,000.

Baseline, Booker, Brady, Chicot, Dodd, Dunbar, Fair Park, Forest Heights, Forest Park, Gibbs, Hall, Mann, Mabelvale Elementary, McDermott, Meadowcliff, Parkview, Pulaski Heights, Terry, Wakefield, Watson, Western Hills and Williams. With Pulaski Heights, the district did not specify whether it was the elementary, middle or both.

Fresh air unit replacements: $1,120,000.

Bale, Jefferson,p Hall, Mabelvale Elementary, Mabelvale Middle, Pulaski Heights Elementary, Pulaski Heights Middle, Romine, Western Hills and Williams.

Window replacements: $6,860,000.

Bale, Booker, Central, Dunbar, Fair Park, Forest Park, Gibbs, Hall, Jefferson, Meadowcliff, Pulaski Heights Elementary and Pulaski Heights Middle.

Modernization (doors, flooring, painting, playgrounds, furniture, technology, etc.): $5,755,000.

Elevator replacements/upgrades: $1,000,000.

Security camera and alarm replacements: $2,250,000.

Athletic fields and track upgrades: $2,750,000.

Magnet school enhancements: $250,000.
