Arkansas 112 lanes to close for project

Work associated with a $100.6 million project to build part of the new U.S. 412 northern bypass in Benton County will require lane closings on Arkansas 112 in Springdale for five days beginning Monday, the Arkansas Department of Transportation said.

A section of Arkansas 112 between Carrie Smith and West Miller roads will be reduced to one lane for paving from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through Friday, weather permitting.

The lane closure will alternate between the northbound and southbound lanes, the department said. Traffic will be controlled using flags, traffic barrels and warning signs. Two lanes of traffic will be restored daily by 4 p.m., the department said.
