• A man was killed and another was critically injured in what police described as a shootout in a residential street in southwest Little Rock. The shooting, which happened at 7:42 p.m., followed an argument between the two men at Merrivale and Woodford drives, Little Rock police Lt. Terry Hastings said. The men drew guns and fired at each other, Hastings said. One ran to his house at 9425 Woodford Drive and collapsed in the driveway, where he was found dead. The other man ran to a house in the 9200 block of Merrivale and collapsed on the porch, surprising its occupants, who don't know the man, Hastings said.
