Kudos for Rogers animal control officers

A few days ago, a snake got in my house. Being 96 years old, I couldn’t do anything, so I called animal control. They came out twice and couldn’t find it.

One morning I saw it crawl out from under my coffee table. I called animal control again and they came out and got it.

They were all such nice men and we are lucky to have them.

I would also like to thank my paper boy for putting the paper where I can get it.

Which women will be

in running for president?

It is plain enough to see there are candidates for the next election for president of the United States. The election of Barack Obama made Americans believe more people are eligible and qualified for the job. The emphasis is likely to be mostly on women. They say that there has been no woman president in more than 200 years, which steeled them into believing their time has come.

The big problem will be which woman will be agreed upon to undertake the job. The election of women as heads of Asiatic and European countries make Americans feel she is lagging in the race to achieve gender equality.

There are outstanding women who may qualify for the position of president but have problems of being nominated. Hillary Clinton is no doubt the best-qualified, but may hardly be considered because of advancing years. She would be well over 70 by the time she made the cut. Women, who have headed large influence institutions, such as Columbia University, might be considered. Nikki Haley, the ambassador to the United Nations, has the youth and is gaining the experience for the top job.

Women serve in the houses of Congress but seem to be satisfied with their achievements. Few have learned to appeal to all constituencies likely to vote. Condoleezza Rice, former Secretary of State, would be a good candidate.

The public may be more knowledgeable of what women are qualified and may want to join the excitement of posing their names.

Progressives trying

to destroy President Trump

I just finished reading the Constitution and not one word did I find about a president or anyone else being required to make his tax returns public.

Because some chose to do so in the past does not make it mandatory.

The progressive, left, communist are working day and night doing any destructive thing to destroy the president and keep him from concentrating on his job.

I was hoping the ugliness was over but it seems the people who have been bringing down our country for decades are still determined to subject us to communist socialism.

Too many have forgotten Russia, Lenin, Stalin and the millions of “useful idiots” they murdered when they were no longer needed. Same thing happened in China and all other countries where communists are in power.

Our young people are not learning history and are unaware of the condition of the present world. I think that is why so many of them voted for a socialist.

The last election shows a lot of people are worried about where we are going and now must stay involved. If not, we will lose everything.
