"We like to use the word 'immersive,'" Plunger shares. "They're experiences that take you out of your everyday, out of that 9 to 5 scene, and give you a whole new perspective through really innovating and exciting engagements. It's easy for people to approach a party and engage in that context, so we like to bring in these other elements -- music, arts, cuisine -- to help people expand their perspective."
The next Artinfusion event, Red Carpet After Hours, will blend the objectives of the program with the glitz and exclusive feel of a Hollywood event. A red carpet, paparazzi, taking and autographing your own professional head shots -- Plunger says the event will let guests live out their Hollywood fantasy and possibility even rub elbows with some of the famous faces in town for the festival.
"How I like to think of it is the museum brings everyone together on the same playing field. So suddenly there's movie stars, there's a lot of people from our local community," he shares, "so there's going to be people from all levels coming together at the museum to enjoy this celebration that's marking the film festival and also marking sort of the beginning of summer."
