Man injured in Farmington shooting

FARMINGTON -- A man was shot in the chest early Monday, possibly in connection with drug-related activities, according to a Police Department news release.

The shooting happened at 1:23 a.m. at a residence on Plover Cove. He was taken to Washington Regional Medical Center where he's in stable condition, according to the release.

Police wouldn't release the name of the man or the address of the residence.

Police are searching for a 5-foot-8-inches-tall man wearing a black tank top and driving a green, 1990s model Chevrolet Impala, according to the release.

The shooting may be connected with drugs but "that is unconfirmed at this time," according to the release.

The investigation is ongoing.
