Portion of Mount Comfort Road in Fayetteville to close for sidewalk improvements

FAYETTEVILLE -- The westbound lane of Mount Comfort Road between Hidden Creek and Bridgeport drives will be closed from 7 a.m to 3:30 p.m. weekdays from Monday through June 2 so transportation crews can make sidewalk improvements.

The north side of Mount Comfort Road will get six-foot-wide sidewalks, storm-drainage pipes and new curbs in three spots to fill missing sections. The project will connect the existing sidewalks and improve pedestrian safety, according to a city news release.

Flaggers will direct traffic during work hours. Drivers are cautioned to watch out for personnel and equipment.
