Rogers streets closed for Komen race

ROGERS -- Several streets will be closed in the Pinnacle Hills Promenade area Saturday for the Susan G. Komen Ozark Race for the Cure, including portions of South 26th Street, Dixieland, West New Hope, Bellview and West Perry roads, and West Ajax and West Laurel avenues.

Members of the Police Department will begin placing cones and barrels along the route today and will direct traffic Saturday.

The Komen Ozark race-day schedule includes a 10k competitive run at 7:30 a.m., a competitive 5k at 8 a.m. and Paws for the Cure at the same time. A non-timed 5k run will start at 8:30 a.m. Roads will open when the final walker crosses the finish line, race officials said.

Race information, schedules and a route of the course can be found at komenozark.org.
