Bentonville West 15, Springdale High 0

Hallie Wacaser hit two home runs during a nine-run outburst in the second inning as West rolled past Springdale in 7A-West action at J.B. Hunt Park.

The Lady Wolverines (18-8, 6-3) already led 6-0 after one inning before Wacaser hit her first home run to lead off the second. She then belted a grand slam later in the inning to make it a 14-0 game, then Karlie Stafford's RBI single capped the scoring and forced the 15-run rule after three innings to be used.

Each West starter had a hit as the Lady Wolverines compiled 16 hits, and leadoff hitter Jazmine Dodd opened the game with a home run. Emma Wood pitched all three innings and allowed just one hit while striking out three.

Rogers High 12, Fayetteville 0

Kaylan Melvin tossed a five-inning perfect game and added a double and an RBI to lead the Lady Mountis to the run-rule win.

Melvin struck out three, while going 1-for-3 at the plate. Allyn Hensley also went 2-for-4 with a three-run home runs and drove in five runs in the game. Cassie Gonzalez, Courtney Storey, Journee Zito and Mikelyn Bush added two hits each. Storey drove in two and scored a run for the Lady Mounties (13-5, 9-1 7A-West).

Pea Ridge 2, Elkins 1 (8 inn.)

The Lady Blackhawks (22-3) scored a run in the top of the eighth inning, and Dominique Burwell made it stand up.

Burwell scattered eight hits and struck out four to earn the win. Sophia Hollingsworth took the loss despite allowing just five hits with six strikeouts and no earned runs.

Hollyn Davis and Sara Whatley each drove in a run for Pea Ridge. Hannah Hurst was 2-for-4 with a double for Elkins, and Lakyn Whelpley was 2-for-2.

Gravette 6, Gentry 1

Freshman Cally Kildow struck out 14 and was 3-for-3 with a double and a triple to lead the Lady Lions (18-6, 13-1 4A-1) to victory.

Kildow, an Arkansas Razorbacks pledge, allowed one earned run on four hits and walked two. Hannah Cole was 4-for-4 with two doubles, two runs and an RBI. Gabbie Curtis had two hits as Gravette finished with 14 hits in the game.

Brooke Boston singled and later scored on an error for the Lady Pioneers (10-14, 3-10) in the sixth inning.

Prep Baseball

Elkins 10, Lincoln 9

A three-run sixth inning was the difference as the Elks earned a narrow win on Thursday.

Socia was 4-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs for the Elks. Lewis was 3-for-4 with two RBIs.

Harrison was 2-for-4 with a double for the Wolves.

Huntsville 9, Gravette 3

The Eagles started slowly but finished hot in a win over Gravette on Wednesday.

Huntsville scored all nine runs after the fourth inning and overcame four errors.

Remington Cozad was 3-for-3 with a home run and five RBIs for the Eagles. Jack Eaton and Tanner Eaton each had two hits.

Cozad earned the win, allowing four hits with eight strikeouts over six innings.

Dalton Cook was 2-for-3 with a double for Gravette, and William Owens homered.
