BENTONVILLE -- Construction work will require temporary, overnight lane closings for Interstate 49 in Bentonville.
The closings will be from mile marker 86 to 87 and will allow crews to install concrete barrier walls along the outside edge of the lanes, according to Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department officials.
• Weather permitting, workers will close the outside northbound lane from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Tuesday.
• Weather permitting, workers will close the outside southbound lane from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday.
Crossland Construction was awarded the U.S. 62/Arkansas 102 interchange improvement and Eighth Street interchange and widening contract for $28.8 million.
